Ready/Sent/Go on the Horizon!

Thanks to everyone who joined us at the movies on Sunday afternoon. I thought the movie was great and it is always fun to give a little surprise reward for those who study with us during our Passport Sundays. When the Game Stands Tall is a great movie- see it soon because I’m sure it won’t be in theaters much longer.

Developing Your Spiritual Relationship with Your Teen.

Over the next four weeks I will be posting a series of videos that will provide some insight into building your spiritual relationship with your teen. There a lots of facets to the parents/teen relationship, we are authority, disciplinarian, homework monitor, transportation service etc… but I find, even as a minister, having meaningful spiritual conversations is tough. Way more work than I thought it would be. Think these series of videos might be encouraging and helpful.

READY/SENT/GO 2014 :: Oct. 10th-11th :: A Weekend of Missions and Service :: $25 for both Friday & Saturday / $15 for Friday or Saturday

Ready/Sent/Go is a Disciple Now type weekend focused on teaching and practicing missions and service. We will have a rally and mission project Friday night, send students to host homes to enjoy some fun and fellowship then return Saturday morning for a big group project. Participants will receive a Ready/Sent/Go t-shirt and all their food for the weekend (Dinner Friday, Breakfast and Lunch Saturday). Mark your calendar and join us for a great weekend together. Mission Romania Information Meeting

Sunday :: Oct. 26th :: 5PM :: FBC Cafe

You’ve been hearing about our plans to take a student mission trip to Romania next summer… now is the time to find out all about it. How much will it cost? How do we raise funds? Who is going? Where in Romania? When is the trip scheduled for? What will the students be doing? All those questions and more will be answered on Oct. 26th during our information meeting. Interested in going, or helping someone else go, come find out all the details.

MIDWEEK! :: Wednesdays 6pm-7:30pm :: FBC Cafe :: Worship & Bible Study for grades 7-12

Midweek Student Bible Study is the best time in our ministry schedule for students to create lasting relationships both with peers and leaders as we come together in a casual, but purposeful time of fun, worship and Bible study. This month week we kick off a new series called “Greater Than” which is walk through the book of Hebrews. Hope you’ll join in the study as we learn why Jesus is greater than anything else.

On Track Monthly Devotionals :: October/The Gospel of Luke

As a new emphasis this year we are using On Track Devotionals to encourage our students to develop the habit of reading and studying the Word of God daily. Ken Ullrich is heading up text/email encouragements and challenges to students who decide to use On Track Devotions and we will celebrate with students each month as they complete a book of devotions. If you would like to check out On Track Devotions drop by the cafe and grab one off the new student ministry resource table. You are more than welcome to use OTD along with  your students to engage them in conversation and deeper discipleship.
