Many, Many Thanks!

We had a great Passport Discipleship Sunday yesterday with 26 students studying both baptist theological basics and God’s epic story from creation to the kingdom. Special thanks to my wife, Jenny for taking care of our lunch meal, and to Mark Foster and Bud Willoughby for teaching the Basics class for us. Thanks also to Amy Ullrich, Susan Hammack and Kim Jensen for their help setting up and serving.

If you missed this Passport- no worries- join us for the next study on Dec. 7th!

Developing Your Spiritual Relationship with Your Teen.

Over the next four weeks I will be posting a series of videos that will provide some insight into building your spiritual relationship with your teen. There a lots of facets to the parents/teen relationship, we are authority, disciplinarian, homework monitor, transportation service etc… but I find, even as a minister, having meaningful spiritual conversations is tough. Way more work than I thought it would be. Think these series of videos might be encouraging and helpful.

SESSION #2
It’s not a matter of “if” your teenager will go through a crisis, but “when” they go through one.  Shellie and Brian talk about letting those crisis moments be a place where you can connect spiritually with your teenager.

MIDWEEK IS BACK :: Wednesdays 6pm-7:30pm :: FBC Cafe :: Worship & Bible Study for grades 7-12

Midweek Student Bible Study is back at it’s regular time and place for the Fall semester and we are kicking off the new semester with a study called Believe: John 3:16. We are looking at what the most quoted verse in the scriptures really means to us. Hope your student will join us for some fun, worship and a great study this week.

On Track Monthly Devotionals :: September/Matthew

As a new emphasis this year we are using On Track Devotionals to encourage our students to develop the habit of reading and studying the Word of God daily. Ken Ullrich is heading up text/email encouragements and challenges to students who decide to use On Track Devotions and we will celebrate with students each month as they complete a book of devotions. If you would like to check out On Track Devotions drop by the cafe and grab one off the new student ministry resource table. You are more than welcome to use OTD along with  your students to engage them in conversation and deeper discipleship.
