We are headed back to Mission 58 Camp // June 20th-24th, 2016 // Marshall, TX // East Texas Baptist University

Mission 58 is a hybrid Camp/Mission Trip! We have morning Rec and Bible Study but spend our afternoons serving the community at Back Yard Bible Clubs/Nursing Homes or Work Projects. In the evenings we have worship and a message from God’s Word. All of this is hosted on campus at East Texas Baptist University.

Camp is open for all completed 7th-12th graders in our student ministy and any friends they might like to invite. We are excited to launch a new $520 cap for families with three or more students attending. Essentially you pay for 2 of your students and the third automatically receives a scholarship.

$60 (NON REFUNDABLE) Deposit is Due March 6th at our Camp Sign Up Blast! Payment plans are available- pay the deposit as soon as you like and begin making payments whenever you can.

Refuge is a retreat for 7th through 12th graders focused on discipleship, worship, and fellowship. It takes place at Cat Spring Retreat 40 miles east of Katy just off I-10. There students will engage in worship, hear preaching, and participate in small group Bible Study, not to mention night games, rec, free time, smores by the campfire, and oh yeah, the midnight Sundae Bar!!

During the two night retreat, students are broken down into small groups based on gender and age and are taught by some of the best small group leaders around. These leaders are trusted college age students who come from across Texas to pour encouragement and biblical truth into the lives of our teens.

Leading us in worship this year will be Trent Murray. Trent is the worship leader at FBC Iowa Park and a former FBC Katy summer intern. Not only is he a genuine and gifted worship leader, he loves our students!  We are so glad to welcome him back to Refuge.

Speaking this year will be Josh Fields. Josh is the student minister at FBC Iowa Park and is a tremendous communicator of God’s word. This will be Josh’s 3rd year to teach at Refuge and we keep inviting him back because he preaches truth and has build an amazing report with our students.

Refuge weekend costs $50 per student, with a family cap of $100. This is all inclusive: transportation, food, materials and t-shirt. We also ask that students contribute a 2 liter of their favorite drink and a snack to share with the group.

If you have questions please email student minister, Jon Hicks at jhicks@fbckaty.com.
