Thanks to everyone who came out to our Parent Partnership Lunch Sunday!

It was great to see so many parents, meet some new student ministry parents and enjoy some fellowship together. Thanks for taking time to sign up to help out at some of our events-ya’ll are awesome and I am looking forward to a great year!

Here’s a reminder about some of the things we talked about yesterday. There is also information about each of these events on the Calendar/Events page of the web site if you need quick access in the future as well as a Fall 2014 Calendar link there as well. We have a couple of things we are adding to the calendar in the near future, so check in again soon.

Passport Sunday :: SEPT 21st (Note Correction from Bulletin) :: Nooon-6pm :: FBC Cafe :: $5 Lunch (Spaghetti)

Two Classes offered This Quarter:

The Basics: Basic Theology of God, Salvation, the Scriptures, The Church and the Ordinances.

Epic: God & His People from Creation to The Kingdom. A study of the story of the Bible and the seven dispensations that marked how God interacted with His people.

MIDWEEK IS BACK :: Wednesdays 6pm-7:30pm :: FBC Cafe :: Worship & Bible Study for grades 7-12

Midweek Student Bible Study is back at it’s regular time and place for the Fall semester and we are kicking off the new semester with a study called Believe: John 3:16. We are looking at what the most quoted verse in the scriptures really means to us. Hope your student will join us for some fun, worship and a great study this week.

On Track Monthly Devotionals :: September/Matthew

As a new emphasis this year we are using On Track Devotionals to encourage our students to develop the habit of reading and studying the Word of God daily. Ken Ullrich is heading up text/email encouragements and challenges to students who decide to use On Track Devotions and we will celebrate with students each month as they complete a book of devotions. If you would like to check out On Track Devotions drop by the cafe and grab one off the new student ministry resource table. You are more than welcome to use OTD along with  your students to engage them in conversation and deeper discipleship.

READY/SENT/GO 2014 :: Oct. 10th-11th :: A Weekend of Missions and Service :: $25 for both Friday & Saturday / $15 for Friday or Saturday

Ready/Sent/Go is a Disciple Now type weekend focused on teaching and practicing missions and service. We will have a rally and mission project Friday night, send students to host homes to enjoy some fun and fellowship then return Saturday morning for a big group project. Participants will receive a Ready/Sent/Go t-shirt and all their food for the weekend (Dinner Friday, Breakfast and Lunch Saturday). Mark your calendar and join us for a great weekend together.
